LOVE & LIAISONS

"Love & Liaisons”© is an original stage play written by the talented playwright Minister William “Ted” Jones of Washington, D.C. and directed by Ms. Peggie A. Matthews. This shocking, dramatically, well-written play exposes a closeted culture of sex between men who lead “straight” lives and the consequences of infidelity.

HIV-AIDS is having a devastating effect on families within the African-American community. The Washington Post recently reported that the fastest growing demographic for new AIDS cases is heterosexual African American females. Love & Liaisons looks into the lives of a group of people impacted by these effects and how they struggle to make sense of the most painful news a family member or a friend can hear about someone they love. Yet even as the awful truth begins to reveal itself, the power of God to preserve, protect and heal is seen. Chronicles of Truth Productions is proud to present this story of triumph, tragedy, hope, faith and restoration. It is our hope that this production will provoke both thought and generate a greater interest in the needs of those impacted by this terrible disease. We hope that viewing this play will change attitudes and open minds to an issue that needs the attention of a larger segment of the public, especially in the African American community. You don’t want to miss this outstanding performance from an array of unbelievable, talented cast from the DC/MD/VA area. “Love & Liaisons© is going to be one of the most talked about stage plays of the year.

The Chicago Tribune recently reported that AIDS is the number one cause of death for African Americans between the ages of 25 and 44. Once again, AIDS is on the rise in the United States and around the world. More women, more college students and more people over the age of 50 are at greater risk than ever before.
