Chronicles Of Truth Productions¡¯ mission is providing community programs to at-risk teens and young adults to improve their quality of life through use of the performing arts, and producing quality entertainment chronicling inspirational truths on the theatrical stage.

Chronicles Of Truth Productions, Inc. (COTP) was organized by its founder, Peggie A. Matthews, on April 19, 2003. We are a non-profit, tax exempt, 501(c) (3), faith-based and community-based theatrical production company located in Cheverly, Maryland.

Chronicles Of Truth Productions, Inc. is an organization committed to bringing quality entertainment back into our homes and communities. In our productions, you will never hear vulgarity or provocative language. We offer family-friendly entertainment to all ages providing alternative solutions to help solve life¡¯s hard day-to-day issues. We are further committed to improving the quality of life for the forgotten and neglected, the underprivileged and the underserved by showing the inner city community that there is a better way than the never-ending cycle of violence and death, a better way than the perpetuation of divorce, broken homes and families, and a better choice than the ¡°thug life¡± of crime and immorality.

Our youth programs were designed and offer the following: Basic skills: reading, writing , mathematics (arithmetical computation and mathematical reason), listening and speaking; Thinking skills: creative thinking, making decisions, solving problems, seeking things in the mind¡¯s eye, knowing how to learn and reason; Personal qualities; individual responsibilities as well as self-esteem, sociability, self-management and integrity; and At the completion of the program, participants will write, produce and perform in their own ¡°mini-theatre production.¡±

We have a vision to demonstrate through the vehicle of the dramatic arts, that these cycles can be broken, and a new cycle of hope can begin through the teaching of the principles of, honesty and integrity, personal responsibility, and non-violent conflict resolution. When these principles are bolstered and reinforced by the time tested principles contained in Scripture, we believe that positive, lasting change can be achieved in the lives of those to whom we have opportunity to minister.

We are committed to showcasing local talent, inspiring playwrights, singers, actors, musicians, and the like. Seeing a play, hearing a story, a poem or a song that seems to be telling your life¡¯s story - some part of your own personal truth - is extremely liberating. Knowing that it is your song, your story, your poem, your play that set some one else free, frees you.

Our core values are truth, integrity, excellence, trust, code of conduct and ethics, respect and personal achievement. The all-encompassing value of COTP is opportunities for everyone to fulfill their greatest potential and to lead a productive, fulfilling life.
